Why the Auction

For more than 35 years, Art Kum Društvo has brought artists and the community together. During that time, 140 artists have donated over 500 works of art to the association.

Today, 244 of those works are permanently displayed at Pristava Počakovo Manor House. But more than 250 remain in storage; carefully kept, but rarely seen. 

Art deserves better than that.

Art is made to be experienced. It should hang on a wall, start a conversation, bring pleasure, provoke thought, or simply make a room feel more alive. This auction gives these works the chance to do that.

The auction has three simple aims:

1.  To give each artwork the opportunity to find a home where it will be seen and appreciated.

2.  To give greater visibility to the artists and to Art Kum Društvo.

3.  To raise funds for Art Kum Društvo’s charitable cultural events and activities in the region.

Not every work will speak to every person—but every piece can mean something to someone. Today is about making those connections: between an artwork, its new home, and the person who sees value in it.

How the Silent Auction Works

Spread throughout the grounds of Pristava are 25 distinct artworks created by 22 artists over the past 30 years. Every single piece has a story to tell—take a stroll, listen closely, and see which ones speak to you.

When a piece catches your eye (or steals your heart), here is how to take it home:

 * Find the Bid Sheet: Attached to each artwork is its official bidding paper. Check the top right corner for the starting bid.

 * Make Your Move: Write down an offer higher than the current listed price. You can bid on as many pieces as you like, as many times as you want between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

 * Protect Your Prize: Don't walk away forever! Other art lovers are wandering around too. Loop back before 6:00 PM to make sure someone hasn't outbid you on your favorite piece.

 * The Final Countdown: Bidding closes strictly at 6:00 PM. Sheets will be collected, and the highest bids will be announced.

Winning Bidders: Grab your bid sheet, collect your new artwork, and head over to the cashier. We accept cash, PayPal, and direct bank transfers. Need another way to pay? Just chat with the cashier on-site to work out an alternative!
